Entering Rhyl I felt very distanced from what seamed to be a sleepy town, I couldn't quite relate even tho I myself come from a small seaside town. This feeling of being alienated made me think I can use that approach in order to engage with the locals. At first I started taking pictures of myself alone to get to know the surrounding, when I felt more secure I started getting closer to the city center. Our next step was to engage with the crowd, I continued creating the same photos trying to tell how I feel about the place but this time asking people passing by to help out by clicking my camera set up for a specific frame I curated in advance. The contrast between the simple and elegantly accepted setting compare to the way I positioned myself in the actual frame caused the person taking the picture all sorts of mix reactions. And here are the results...
